SculpSure is a laser treatment that reduces fat deposits on your thighs, abdomen, and other “trouble areas.” Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the device uses specific wavelengths to rid you of stubborn fat.
The heat from the laser disrupts your fat cells so they ultimately shrink and die, meaning less fat on your body. Once these fat cells are destroyed, they can’t return. It has a 90% success rate and gets about 24% of the fat cells in a treated area.
SculpSure works on all skin types. SculpSure is for those problem areas that remain pinchable — and sometimes aren’t pinchable — even with diligent dieting and exercise.
Most people find the procedure comfortable, with only minor tingling sensations as the laser touches the skin. The laser penetrates deep below the skin, so you may also feel a little heat.
SculpSure produces results in 6-12 weeks. You might experience this after 1 treatment, or you might prefer additional treatments depending on how your body reacts to treatment. You can do multiple treatments to different areas in 1 day. You’ll need to wait 6 weeks between treatments to the same area, however.
SculpSure laser treatments are non invasive, meaning they don’t involve any surgical incisions like traditional liposuction. So, you could have a SculpSure treatment at lunch and return to work right after. A procedure lasts just 25 minutes.
Diet and exercise helps shrink fat cells, but it doesn’t get rid of them completely. SculpSure permanently destroys fat cells in problem areas. You’ll get the best results if you combine SculpSure with a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
While SculpSure and CoolSculpting both rely on state-of-the-art techniques to permanently remove stubborn fat from your trouble zones, the procedures have significant differences.
SculpSure uses innovative laser energy to destroy your fat cells, while CoolSculpting is based on fat-freezing technology. A SculpSure treatment eliminates up to 24% of targeted fat in a 25-minute session. CoolSculpting eliminates 22% of fat during a 35- to 50-minute treatment session. Both procedures are noninvasive.
SculpSure can address targeted fat in both large areas and smaller, more precise locations, such as under your chin. CoolSculpting, on the other hand, suctions your treatment area into a cooling device. For the fat-freezing treatment to effectively eliminate fat, you must have “pinchable” fat in the targeted area.
As far as patient experience, SculpSure is a more comfortable procedure, both during the treatment and after, as it has no lingering side effects. CoolSculpting, in comparison, may leave your skin numb and bruised for days after your fat freezing.
